Sew Much Fun

My sewing machine has been broken for 2 years. I teach a sewing class at a christian camp each summer. I let the little girls sew on it 2 years ago, and after they were done it would only sew backwards. I love my sewing machine SEW much that I was nervous to just let anyone touch it. It is computerized and it just made me nervous!! So today I got the machines out and cleaned and oiled them myself !!!!! AND guess what..I fixed it!!
The girls were ecstatic..so we got out the sewing books and started planning. We also pulled out all my fabric and MAN OH MAN..do I have a stash????!!!!!
So we started with this book…the girls chose to make little drawstring bags.

Camye looking adorable…
Chloe was extremely proud of her sewing skills…even after 2 years.
Here they are!!!! Camye was made slightly larger to hold her ballet slippers and Chloe was made to the size the pattern called for to hold her Bath & Body Works.

Stay tuned….Sewing can be very addicting!! And we have several projects planned!:)

MOPS Moppets Brunch

Chloe has been a MOPPET worker for the first time this year. She gets community service for volunteering at our MOPS group. We just had our end of the year MOPPETS brunch to honor all our MOPPETS workers. It was alot of fun!!

Recieving her gift and certificate…
And below you will see the Grape Slushie group I belonged too. Our theme for MOPS this year, was Welcome to the MOPS carnival. So each discussion group got a name…ours being Grape Slushie and we earned Queens of the Carnival for this year because we earned more tickets than everyone else!! YAY!!

I am sad to say that I may not be returning to MOPS next year, I am needing to take something off of the schedule. MOPS may be one of them. We will see if I can stay away though when it starts. I am still doing the summer time bible study though:):)

Hubby’s New Toy….

This is my fabulous husbands new toy!! I call it a toy because of his reaction. He was soooo giddily (is that a word) excited. We have 12 acres and even though we only 2-3 acres. It is hilly. It usually takes him every Saturday to mow it and Sunday afternoons are spent weeding. It really takes alot out of a guy. Also we only had a small push mower. Last week, he borrowed a friends from church like this and it took him 2 hours to do the entire yard!!!!! We were so ecstatic!! So he won this one on ebay…and now he will have more time to spend with his family.:):):)::)

Okay someone else turned 32 …

….so my kids check out my blog every once in awhile and noticed that I had only blogged their dad’s birthday.

Yes I turned 32 on Mothers day!! It was such a wonderful day!! My husband and kids sure know how to pamper their mother. It was a great day!!!:):) And spoil her…the gifts this year were out of this world!! Thanks kiddos and your wonderful Daddy!!
