Tired of seeing my snow pictures…

Believe it or not I am not tired of seeing the snow…tired of everything being slick and being cancelled. We havent had co-op in 2 weeks. Family Game Night at our church was cancelled tonight…but friends called to invite us over and we are headed over there.

We do still have about 20 inches on the ground. We did have freezing rain the other night and that melted the snow down a little bit. I just hope it melts slowly so we dont flood everyone down south of us (where my family lives).

When this snow storm hit..we didnt even have a snow shovel..because who needs a shovel for 6-8 inches at a time..which is all we have had at once since we moved here!!! My mom did get the kids snow shovels. Thank good ness!! THey have helped.

But my hubby thought we needed more than a snow shovel and he got a Polaris 6×6!! Very awesome!! He is a plowing maniac!! Thought this photo was beautiful!!! Love my house!!

Okay here is my little update.
Scrapbooks- Did I say last time they were almost done? Well now they are really almost done.LOL!!
Puppets- WoW!! I am so impressed with m y 8th grade team!! They are doing awesome! We are having a little puppet boot camp for the 3rd graders on Saturday afternoon, since thanks to my cousin Stephanie I realized the puppet stage is 12 inches shorter than the regular stage. That will help them tremondously. This is our first year doing puppets..give me a break.
Bible Bowl- The written test is Saturday night..we have been cramming
Bible Bowl team- Chloe, Blake, Caleb A and Abbie
Pearls- Test on Sunday
Speech- Camye is finally reading her in less than 5 minutes!! I had to cut more out. Blake is doing awesome and showing lots of personality. Chloe has decided to redo hers!!!AWWHHH!!! 13 years old is soooo hard!!!
Songs of Praise and Song leading are coming along.
Banner is Sunday night.

25 inches of snow and it is still snowing…

I thought about just making this a Wordless Wednesday post. BUT I am Wordy Wendi…so that would never happen. Here we are the morning after the 20 inches fell over night!!! GORGEOUS!! This is us walking in our driveway! This is one of those panaramic views..(I think it is what it is called). Sorry I had to shrink it to get to load on here.

Paul dug himself out a little seat..:) Since he couldn’t walk in it very well with out losing a boot or two!!

GORGEOUS!!! I just love this beautiful site!!

We had to dig out a little path for the dogs. SInce they are only 9 inches or so tall, there first step buried them. Whenever I can get out of my house, I will post the video of the dogs first attempt in the snow.

Paul had the hardest time standing up!! Since it came to his waist!
We built this 3 balled snowman last night!! See the Carrot nose…only over night …our snowman grew another head!! And the bottom became buried!!! Crazy!!

Camye and Paul trying to sled..not too successful!!

Cutey pie Blake!!!! This morning our view was breathtaking..I even teared up!! What a winter wonderland!

Our railing!!!! WOW!!!

Chloe decided to allow us to bury her with snow…didnt go so well. Dont try this at home!!:)

Posing in our front yard…in front of the kids snow fort they built last night.!! Only problem was it was only 3ft tall and 20 inches of that is now buried!!

It was still snowing when we went out this morning and actually still is!!!! Chloe was snow covered with her little Eskimo baby!!

Me and Kenny posing…we never pass up an oppurtunity to get our pic together!!

Menu Planning Monday

Wow ….life is sure full of ups and downs. It is amazing to me how life can be going so smoothly and Satan can throw something in to mess things up. I wish he would go away and we could just go to heaven.

Here is my menu…:

Monday-Chicken and Rice stir fry
Tuesday- Beef Tacos
Wednesday- Chicken Fajitas
Thursday-Leftovers
Friday-Going to WV
Saturday- Lasagna, Salad, Bread

We have company coming over again..2 families have been invited still waiting on RSVP’s. We did have it last week when we had a family over. I know I fixed lasagna last week when we had company. But the one family I am pretty sure will come over has 5 kids..I need kid friendly food. I hope that is not tacky. Kenny thought it sounded great…different people and what are the chances they would talk about what they ate here.LOL!!!

Thanksgiving Thursday

I have to say that Thursdays ….do sneak up on me.

I really do enjoy doing this, as it makes me stop to think of the simple things in life that make me so thankful!!

I am thankful for:
1. My sister in law and kids having a safe trip back to Okinawa..may she arrive safely.
2. Our coal burner–doesnt make me sneeze like a wood burner and its cleaner!!
3. Scrapbooks that are almost done
4. 2 puppet teams that are coming together nicely.
5. My great friend Lori, that met me for lunch at Panera yesterday(no kids). A nice break..for both of us from kids. Together we have 9 kids!!!
6. Dieting–lost 3 pounds!!!
7. KLOVE…I cant believe the difference it makes in attitude in me and the kids when all we listen to his christian radio.
8. a cruise which may be in my near future
9. Warmer weather…believe it or not. It has been in the 40’s!!! that is really warm here for January!!
10.Our great preacher who is going to start taking Chloe visiting with him during that day. What a great experience for her!!

I may start a Wednesday Wishlist…is that bad!!!????

Here is my current list:
1. More hours in a day
2. SUNSHINE
