Trip to Grandma and Grandpa’s House:)

Our family recently traveled to Ft. Worth, Texas to visit Kenny’s parents and his grandma “Grandma French Fry”. We spent 7 days and had such a wonderful visit!!!
Below is a great 4 generation picture. Uncle Nathan is always so good with my kids and they adore him!! They loved walking all over him…literally!! Camye is doing what all my kids love to do me right now…when I am trying to get a fabulous picture of something they love to pop in like Camye did below…I have decided to stop fighting it and embrace it:)

The kids swam everyday but the last 2 days we were there!! I thought the water was way too cold and enjoyed laying out everyday!:)

Almost the entire Rogers crew…we were missing my sister in law Kim, her husband and her 4 great kids!! They will be back from Okinawa, Japan later this month!:)

LegoLand Grapevine, Texas

While we were visiting in Texas, we decided to head to a newly opened LegoLand in Grapevine, Texas. Blake, Camye and Paul are CRAZY about legos!! I have always heard how awesome LegoLands were so we thought we would try it out!! Above: Us getting on one of the rides!!

Paul with a Lego elephant…very cool!!!

Chloe and I headed to the Pink Palace room of Pink Legos.

Daddy, Blake, Camye and Paul headed out on the first ride to rescue the Lego princess.

Paul with one of the many Lego men around the place! Very cool!!

Mommy Review: Okay I dont want to be a downer. But I would want someone to tell me. We paid $78 (that was with 2 free kids). There was 2 rides, 1 3D movie that was 13 minutes long, a Dallas/Fort Worth Lego city rooms, places for young toddlers to build, a place to eat (expensive), a place to build race cars to race each other, only no one could find matching wheels. We spent an hour and a half and really had to search to make it last that long. So even thought we made some great memories…it wasnt worth $78.

Freezer Cooking List

Okay I have decided to do a major freezing cooking haul before we fly to Korea to get Mia. It will be nice for my mom not have to cook while we are gone and nice to have meals for the summer prepared.

Here we go:
3 spaghetti sauces
4 meatloaves
6 3 pound bags of marinated chicken ready for the grill
4 chicken pot pies
6 cheesey shells
6 lasagnas
3 taco meat
2 bags of marinated pork steaks

I think this should hold us until August…:):)

Lads to Leaders Nashville Convention 2011 Part 2

Lads to Leaders is the one of the best things I have ever done for my kids. I was never involved with church or wanting to bible studies when I was younger. My kids beg to practice their speeches/devos, beg to practice leading a song (which I cant do correctly), repeat our puppet script over and over and over and over again….which included Adam and Eve, Daniel and the Lions Den and Pharoah and the plagues. They know what the serpent said to Eve..word for word..they know Daniel’s prayer while in the den…word for word and the know all the plagues in order and what finally convinced Pharoah to release God’s people. They practice and practice their books of the bible. They are writing papers already for next on Will Work Till Jesus Comes. They become close with their christian friends. They memorize scripture. They cant wait to get to church.

While we were there, we heard a statistic, less than 25% percent of kids stay in the church yet 85% of kids involved in Lads to Leaders stay in the church and are active members. Chloe and Daddy…she cant possibly not ham it up for one photo!!

Love these kids!! They are 15 months apart but I call them my twins.

Blake holding his finalist trophy for Speech. He was in the top 6 for Boys Speech yet again, out of 24 boys!! He says HE WILL PLACE NEXT YEAR IN THE TOP THREE!!! I have no doubt he will!

Things got a little crazy in the food room….poor Chloe! Levi and Paul attacked!!

Just a picture of our Green Group. There were over 6,000 christians there this weekend. What an awesome experience!!! And that was just at Nashville! I havent heard how many met this weekend in Dallas, Memphis, Indianaopolis, Orlando and I think their are a few other sites!!

Our First Gift to Mia Grace

I need to say that if it wasnt for a few special friends telling me what do with this adoption, we wouldnt be as far along as we are in the process. I just found out today though that I could have already mailed our special FIRST GIFT EVER to Mia Grace!!

So I already have it all together and will be shipping it tomorrow. I thought you all might like to see it, especially those of you just starting the process.:)

It doesnt really look like alot….but I had to fit it all into one ziploc bag! So 2 outfits, a small doll, a family album full of pictures of us, stuffed pink bunny, spiky little rubbery toy, a card for the foster mom and 2 little starbucks coffee for her as well. I am not sure I was allowed to add the card and coffee for the foster mom, but if it werent for certain friends on the adoption forums I wouldnt know as much as I do know. I have also been told, that I may never see any of these things again.

So that’s its, doesnt seem like much to send to my baby girl…but it’s a start!!
