Chloe’s Advanced Speech 1 and 2

Chloe is participating in Advanced Speech for Lads to Leaders. She will be giving 18 speeches(6 different speeches) before January. We actually have each one planned out, mostly for Ladies Bible Class. Her first 2 speeches were done at our Homeschool Art and Talent Night and our Heart and Home 4h club. She did so well. I can already see the public speaker coming out in here. I am so proud of her.
I am so thankful for this program. To recieve the high school diploma in PA from the state, you must give a 5 minute speech each year of high school. After doing Advanced Speech her 8th grade year, NO problem. I think I will have the rest of my kids do this program their 8th grade year as well to prepare for high school.

I liked the pic below..Camye to the left, Blake to the right, Chloe in the middle…:):)

Camye’s Ballet Recital

Camye’s Ballet Recital was Saturday, she did such a wonderful job. I just cant say enough about her teacher and her company. The advertisement on the front page is tired of what modern day dancing wants from your daughter!!! Yes we were!!

Camye has always wanted to do ballet. We think she is very talented and would do great in it. But we could not find a place where she could dance and not turn into something vulgar or they want her to look like little pageant stars.

We finally found it!!! And we love it and Camye loves it!:):)

Picture above is in her free dance costume….notice all the costumes are very modest.

Our little Cinderella, which was the theme for the recital.
At the end they had every little girls Prince Charmings give them their flowers and candy.
If you cant see…that is Camye right behind the white Cinderella!!
Most of the little girls that dance in Camye’s class are homeschooled, these are 3 other littles girls that go to our home-school co-op, Abigail Ford, Camye, Hannah Ford and Paige Barren. The red and white costumes were for Jazz class.

Blake’s Last Soccer Game

Today was Blakes last Soccer game for his Spring Skills Program!!! He loves to play and is on 2 teams right now.

And if I have to be truthful..he is really really good!! Two of his best friends Anthony and Caleb are on his team and they really play well together. They also plan a lot of sneak attacks.
Great job Blake!:)

Beetles and My Organic Garden:(

By looking at this bug..you might think…wow..kind of a neat little bug. WELL IT IS NOT!!! These are cucumber beetles and they are eating up my HUGE organic garden!! Watermelon sprouts are missing, squash plants are chewed to pieces and cucumber plants have come up missing too!!! BUT I have replanted and I will win this battle!!! I was so tempted to buy something non organic, but so far have bought Diatamatious Earth which is organic..you can eat it and that has seemed to slow them down. I also have been going out 2-3 times a day and smash them!!
