Homeschool Art and Talent Night 2009

OK so there is something wrong with me or the camera. And we never remember to fix it until the moment of something we need to take pictures of something that is happening…so I probably shouldnt even blog these pics. I am sure that it is a setting on the camera.  At least I have my friends Staceys pics for the scrapbooks.:)
Camyes class performed with their Recorder class. Lynn Grabiak was very brave this past semester and taught a Recorder class for the 2nd – 3rd graders. She also sang a weather song to go along with their Weather class that Christine Bridge taught last semester. Thanks Lynne and Christine!!

Chloe is working on Advanced Speech for Lads to Leaders. She gave a How to Speech last night. I thought this would really help with her self confidence in public speaking. This was her first speech of 18 (6 different speeches). She has 2 speeches in May, 2 in June, 3 in July and 3 in August. That is all we have planned for now. I couldnt believe the difference in her self confidence this time. She did great!! Way to go Chloe!!! I do hope to get each of my kids to participate at least one time in this event. Of course and it all counts for school!!!!! :):)

Guess who’s 32 !!!!

Not me…yet!!!! May 5th was Kennys birthday, even though he isnt into presents and all the froofroo of birthdays. He puts on a great front for the rest of us that do!!:):)

His choice for a cake was actually a Key Lime Pie. But I was so afraid it wouldnt turn out…he got a cake too!! And they both turned out!!:):)

Photo Shoot Take 1

Well many of you may know that I get my babies professionally taken when they are 3 years old right before they lose their baby looks. I have went and spent alot of money on the others at these professional studios and havent been the happiest with them. So my friends hubby is trying to start a photography business and has a little studio. He wanted to practice on my kids. He is really working hard to perfect his lighting and the props and everything. The best part is…they were free!! Everything was and he wants to use the kids on his website!! He went ahead and took pics of all of them.

This was one of the last ones taken but still my fave of the group shots.

As most of you know..Paul is a quite the ham of the family!!! He did this on his own.
This one is my fave of Pauly and may be THE 16×20 that I get.
This was the saddest face he could ever make..he said….:) LOL!
I just know this will be my moms favorite. I dont kn0w..I do love this one.
Enjoy!! I will post the other kids on another post!:)

Socializing…Veggie Tales Abe and the Amazing Promise

I thought I would blog this because I thought it was a great compliment.

I was at a Tastefully Simple party on Saturday afternoon at a friends from church. It was a lot of fun and great food!! Several at us from church were there “pressuring” her to come to our Veggie Tales movie night at church. She was tired and run down and wanted to stay home. We were joking around telling her to come anyway. Another lady was there and said WOW..you all are doing something again. We didnt know this lady (it was a friends of the hosts from MOPS)!! We just looked at her and she says Your church is the most socializing church I have ever heard of!! I thought that was such a great compliment!!
SO here are a few pics from our Veggie Tale Abe and The Amazing Promise. Yes our pics may look a little posed..but we need pics for our kids Lads to Leaders Scrapbooks and forgot to take them.!! Paul was busy with his friends…making mostly a mess.LOL!
