Christmas Eve….family fun

Well Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning..I always insist we are home with the family. Anyone is welcome here..but I want the kids to wake up on in their beds and come down to their living room and their Christmas tree. Although I do say always…we are currently discussing being in Texas for Christmas next year. But our norm is….we are home.

We are very blessed because we have soooo many people that buy for our kids. So we like to spread it out some….so on Christmas Eve we open presents from Kenny’s side….they do open their traditional Christmas jammies on Christmas Eve. Blake made date/nut balls for Mamaws and I did make Kennys favorite sour cream fudge.

Aunt Kimberly, Uncle Tom, Alycia, Elizabeth and Austin came thru with some great crafts sets for the girls and a crochet project book for the girls, a magnetic puzzle set for Paul and a Pokemon marble case with marbles…pleasing everyone greatly…
Kenny’s mom and dad…bought Chloe, Blake and Camye a devotional book and ornaments…and a few other items…that we hid till Christmas morning…will tell more later. Paul recieved Boz, a Boz DVD and the Littel Einsteins laptop to which he yells….MY OWN LAPTOP!!! Kenny’s dad, Ken…had my name and I received the Chronological Bible and a Beth Moore devotional. Which I loved both!
Uncle Nathan, Aunt Natalie and Lucille…..ALWAYS ALWAYS buy the coolest….top everyone elses presents. Not just for us…for anyone they buy for…its kind of well known fact that Uncle Nathan and Aunt Natalies presents are always the long awaited present. But this year it was soooo awesome…we made the kids wait until Christmas

MOPS Moppet Christmas Brunch

We had a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) Moppet Worker (Chloe volunteers for community service as a babysitter) Christmas brunch where they honor the workers. She recieved a pretty Christmas necklace and candy. Here is also another pic of one of my best friends and I . She is 5 months pregnant for baby #5 and ITS A GIRL!! Decorating Cookies and Jingling…

Just a quick blog…

Well we finally finished decorating cookies…with 4 kids…it takes an awful lot of cookies. But it was great fun!!

…we went jingling..that was a blast!! The kids were so much fun..I was the driver…at the first house…a little slow..because we had to go twice because we didnt know that there doorbell was broken. The second house some friends from church..we had a little more confidence. We were up by the door, all there lights were on. Our plan was to ring and run..well these were Chloe’s friends and I think she wanted to get caught. She ran and hid really close to the front door. But nothing…so we went and rang again…everyone was back to the van but Chloe and GUESS WHO pulls in the driveway!! You guessed it….they did. And they yell Hey guys!! Come on in…I was so scared and nervous..I just pulled away!!! But then called her later to apologize…we had a good laugh. Then on to the Walton’s..that was the most fun for Kenny and I …the kids ran and then hid behind their suburban. Richard and the girls open the door and Jesse leans out and picks up the ornament and jingling papers. Richard stands there looking around….even though he had to have heard giggling from behind the suburban..but then Sadie came out and said Mommy (Molly was at work)…LOL!! Richard says..that ain’t Mommy..LOL!!! And they go back inside..now we havent been jingled back…but I wont be surprised if we are.

My mom, brother and I went to finish up Christmas shopping. We first went to our favortie outlet mall, Tanger Outlets in Washington. They are fairly new. But lots of great deals…clearance at TCP and Gymboree was great. I love those $2.99 and under deals:)

Christmas Crafts and More….

Okay so I just liked this picture and wanted to add it. It was before bible study last night:)

Okay so I stole this idea from my cousin Stephanie, check out her blog “Lovin’ Every Minute of It”, her and her mother (my Aunt Jo) are the craftiest people I have ever known in my life. Anyways I loved this idea, and I think she realizes I am craft challenged and doesnt mind that I do this.>LOL!!! I made these for friends and the kids bible class teachers and co-op teacher.:)

Below are pics of our Reindeer Food and Snowman Soup the kids made for their friends at co-op and church.

We had lots of fun working all day long (after school of course) on these crafts and baking cookies. Today we need to finish decorating cookies and will blog more in the morning!!!:):)

Have a wonderful day!!

Sunday….ramblings.!!

Not really alot too type about today…just wanted to put our latest family pic on…..our friend Richard got here for life groups a little early and I wanted some pics in front of the family tree. Our Christmas family pics are a little late this year due to Paul’s black eye (thanks to Blakes knee). We have those done on Thursday at Target. But I dont get them till Christmas Eve…so needless to say maybe they will be Happy New Year cards??:)

…Nothing too eventful happened today…although Paul said the cutest thing to me in services this morning. He was sitting on my lap and I was taking the bread during communion and a small piece fell on my lap. He picks it up and eats and say very LOUDLY..hmmmm…very cheesey mommy.!!! Kenny runs our power point during services..so it has been very eventful with 4 kids and just me. LOL!! Just kidding..they are fine….its just easier with a manly influence sitting beside me.
I have a new phrase…Kenny says I create sayings or words all the time..but our congregation has such awesome classes going on right now…I told Kenny I felt so bibically stimulated. He said in other words you are feeling encouraged..oh yes that!!!
I have a new fave church song…These Are the Days Of Elijah…I just love that song!!
We had game night the other night..here are few pics from that as well.

What We Woke up to This Morning????

Last night, Kenny and I decided to brave the freezing rain and head out for a date night….it was soo pretty. Globs of slushy ice were coming down…we did go out for a few hours…to my fave restaurant Panera Bread and went Christmas shopping at Walmart and Gabes.
Well….Blake woke me up this morning to help him to type his paper for co-op!! I looked outside and said there is no way there is co-op!! We had 3 1/2 inches of snow this morning..we may have still had co-op but I knew we had 1-2 inches of ice before the snow fell last night.
So we are home today, no school..no co-op…just a day off!!! YAY!!! The kids went sledding…here are some pics to enjoy!! The kids are having alot of fun….Chloe isnt in any of the pics..because by the time Paul and Camye got outside…she had gotten her feet wet and came in the house..LOL!!
Something Camye and I have been working on all morning is her birthday party…its January 9th and its A Webkinz Sleepover…feel free to leave me any ideas. But you must sign in..hint hint..I know some of you are reading but not creating a blog yourself!!
…yes I know my 3 year old is a boy..but his sisters hand me down pink and purple snowsuit fits perfectly!!!!

Lovin the Holidays

Well I can not wait for Christmas..it is my favorite time of the year. I went shopping on Black Friday with 2 great friends from my MOPS group. It was alot of fun…I finished up my Christmas shopping all but a few small things…and to make sure I have everything even with 4 kids….cant have tears on Christmas morning because someone had more presents anyway.

I do have to get my presents wrapped and mailed to Japan or they will be late!! Also at my mamaws (where we go on Christmas afternoon), we have a gift exchange and I do have one more present to get from that.

I was trying to get something EXTRA great for my hubby but sometimes you have to get things they need…maybe if someone has an idea ..that will work. I did make him a coupon book with some cute stuff in that for his stocking. Oh wait..he will probably read this…

Anyways..this time of year is soo busy and festive. Chloe has ice skating with the teens at our church on Saturday, Kenny and I have parents night out..on the 13th..I think, game night at our church on the 12th…Lifegroup Christmas party on the 21st…4H pizza and bowling party on the 22nd…

What I am most thankful for today….my wonderful husband who knows when to call at the right time to referee a small argument between Chloe and I and then he always has the right words to say to mend everything and straighten the day out. Sometimes girls are just toooo emotional..and yes I mean myself when I say that…

Why I think i will blog??

Okay so I no one is even reading this..which makes even more fun to do this. My cousin has a blogspot….I went and checked it out…very cool. So I had this idea that this would be a great way to keep in touch with my family and with my sister in law and her family in Okinawa, Japan. Hopefully she will get one too..hint hint…and it will help us to keep up with each others busy lives.
Soo..I guess that is it…
