Scrapbook Paper Beads

My friend Brenda and I have been planning Ladies Nights Out for church for the past year. We usually meet at restaraunts but decided to try something new to attract a new crowd!! And it worked!!

My friend Danielle is very crafty and makes all sorts of beautiful jewerly. She also likes to use odd things to create jewerly and with this craft she used double sided cardstock paper!!!

These are what the girls and I created!! I thought they were beautiful!:):)

These were so simple. First finding paper that was colored on both sides and the edges. Cutting small strip straight or at an angle..rolling them tight and glue!!!
Our next craft is going to be saran wrap beads….should be interesting!!

When your son becomes your brother…Acts 2:38

Never have I experienced a prouder moment as a parent than when my child makes that decision and is baptized. It was such an awesome moment when Blake made that decision as it was when Chloe did. I asked Blake how he felt afterwards and he said one word..that means a million…and it was “CLEAN”. Just typing that brings tears to my eyes.

Not only were the angels rejoicing but the kids and our church family were too. We have such an awesome church family and they are all so wonderful.

Odd things my kids like to play…

Okay…my kids play the oddest things. They like to put blankets in their clothese as much as they can possibly fit and see how hard it is to play and run around when you are really that large…. I was sitting in the recliner yesterday when this large oversize stuffed child went running by the window. I burst out laughing..they look hilarious and I am sure the neighbors think we are odd for allowing it. But they are hysterical the entire time they are doing this…so Kenny and I let them have their fun!

Ladies Renewal Weekend 2010

Chloe and attended the Ladies Retreat Weekend near Amish country this past weekend.!! It was alot of fun and I was excited to have Chloe along with me as teen girls are allowed. This year the them was “Diamonds in the Rough”. The decorating was beautiful. The women who plan this do a fabulous job planning it.
We went with a large caravan of 12 women. On the way we drove through Amish country and this was Chloe’s first trip and she loved it and cant wait to go back!:):)
Below is a picture of Chloe and I outside Der Dutchman with the beautiful view behind us. Posing with Jennifer (friend from high school), Jill Treadway and a great friend Tina Parks!

This was our group and one other van from West Virginia that came!:) It was so uplifting!:)

Tennessee Cousins

My cousin, Stephanie and her kiddos come to West Virginia every spring for Spring Break. The kids all have a blast together!!! Parker is Blake’s age and have alot in common and Kinlee is close to Camye’s age, but Chloe and Paul hang with them all too. This year they enjoyed trips to my other grandparents house, where there is an awesome creek that I used to ‘live’ in. I even caught my first crawdad and snake in that creek. Blake and Parker got to give their Faith Is The Victory speeches at my Mamaws church and Chloe and Camye did their speeches for my Mamaws ladies bible class and Kinlee did a scripture reading. It was so wonderful! However, if my Papaw Wells could have seen those boys , he would have been so proud. The whole time the boys were giving their speeches, I just could picture my Papaw’s face. Those kids would have made him soooo proud!!

Okay ..enough now that I am crying….I need to move on. This year we had some entertainment with the BIG game. Parker and Blake versus Camye and Chloe. It was a close one!! With food, drinks, halftime shows, and autographs ….it was a show to behold.
