Isn’t she simply stunning? We were so up in the air whether she would be here for the Masquarade that we waited until the week before to purchase a dress. But luckily for some great friends of ours, loaned us this dress, shoes and jewelry.

Lounging watching a Pororo movie…

And someone… Gave themselves a haircut. That is a 2 1/2 to 3 inch section of hair off a certain someone’s head.:-/

Ahhhh but what a blessing to have all my children home. Even if the house looks like it does in the first picture. Come on your house is that messy too … Sometimes right? Okay don’t tell me. And I have heard that all kids cut their own hair.. Only this is my first child to do that.:) it will grow!:)

One year ago ….

She was given to us. A sensitive, serious, intriguing, affectionate, and beautiful little Mia Grace Heimee.

A blessing. In so many awesome ways. Ways I am sure I will never comprehend.

Opening my eyes to a whole new spectrum.

Keeping them open to adopt again and again and again.

One little picture said it all.

I want her.

This picture made me go out on a teensy weensy little branch and beg please let me adopt her!!! I don’t care what’s wrong. She’s mine.

What was wrong was she had 17 cavities and low muscle tone in doctors terms (more cuddlely in mommy terms) and she was/is a sensitive child.

She has made me trust my feelings on who my children are and what is wrong with one of my children. I am the mom. I know my kids. … Whether I have met them or not. I know when I know.

Mia has made me see how much more important is to love than it is to have the latest fashion, more activities for me to run my kids too, a more comfortable life with less children, or to have a chaotic life style. Love. The best gift you can give your child is a sibiling.

Many people asked us when we we came home with Mia if this was it.. Are we done? Now we have precious Avah home.. Now we really get the question… Are we done?

My answer… Are they all home yet? Right now I feel the lord telling me.. Peace… Be still. One of the few loud and clear messages I have ever heard. And boy does it feel good. Sooo good. I will be still… Until or if he calls me again…. And I will put myself through that torture of the waiting process of bringing home a child.

But looking at my sweet girls… Knowing the blessing of adoption.. Even with Avahs unknowns are priceless. They are where they should be and I am where I should be.

Home.Sweet.Home.

So thankful to be home.

My middle three kiddos were ecstatic.. Like screaming on top of their lungs in the driveway. We do live in the country. Thank goodness.

After about an hour and it was 1am, these two curled up like old buddies and played DSI’s together.

Paul needed a buddy. And I think he found her.

I pray their relationship is just like Blake and Camye’s relationship.

Guess who is up in her pretty pink room at 3:30am.. Raring to go!:)

~Last day in Seoul~

As much as we love this country….boy am I ready to get back to the USA!!!

We are exhausted. It has been a long 9 days and taking custody of a 4 year old with 5 1/2 days left in your trip is exhausting…espeically when your husband loves the subway and Avah will not walk. But loves to be carried everywhere.

Little Miss Personality….

Love this man! He is one of the doormen at the guest house. The girls took him a gift everyday and he loved it! Tonight he brought us bap for the girls and they loved it!:) He is such a sweet man.

Such sweetness….mama..please can I play your iPhone.

Mia’s foster family came to visit us for an hour on Monday night. That was totally awesome.

Ahh….we met friends of ours that are missionaries at a Traditional Village over by the Seoul Tower. We were so wiped out with the girls, we didnt get a picture with them. However, they took a photo which I will post when she posts on Facebook.

Today we took donations and went to pay our guesthouse bill over at post-adoption services at SWS. We asked if their were any intake/newborn pictures. We were very pleased to get 10 photos of each girl…..1 of each we hadn’t seen before.:)

We are ready to get home and get back to life as we know it.

I am very sure that Avah will be adjusting to life very quickly as a Rogers. However, I just want to say this again. This little girl has ZERO concept of what a family is. From living in an orphanage and having 3 Omma’s that took turns, its going to take awhile. She loves attention and hugs and kisses EVERY single person she meets. Until she grasps the definiton of a family, we ask that you turn away and ask her to go to her Omma and Appa for hugs and kisses. We are not allowing any hugs, kisses, picking her up or offering her food from anyone out side of the family. We are a busy busy family and this I pray only takes a short amount of time….but it will take a shorter amount of time if everyone cooperates. Just keep redirecting…distracting and pointing back to her Omma and Appa. Thank you…and please please don’t think I am mean ole grump.:)

But if you love my little girl so much you can’t keep your hands off of her…..I will be more than happy to redirect your efforts to a waiting list of children just waiting for your hugs and kisses and HOME.:):)
